The 2012 Murder Mystery Collection comprises 6 brand new stories in the Miss Tayke Investigates series: (1) "MURDER AT THE SALES" where the intrepid amateur sleuth goes shopping for bargains and finds herself embroiled in the brutal murder of a store executive; (2) "LAKE WINDERMERE MURDER". Miss Tayke, friends Cedric and Bunty spend a relaxing weekend at a luxury hotel overlooking the lake; they meet up with an old acquaintance who drops dead over coffee. The police say natural causes; Miss Tayke says murder and sets about proving she is right. (3) "CRUISE SHIP MURDER". Cedric and Bunty land jobs with a cruise line and take Miss Tayke along for company. At a murder mystery evening with all the guests involved, one of them is stabbed to death. With no CID aboard the cruise ship it is left to Miss Tayke to unmask the killer. (4) "WALDORF ASTORIA MURDER" where Miss Tayke receives an invitation to fly to New York as guest of honour at a convention in the Waldorf Astoria hotel. Before the event gets underway though the keynote speaker is shot down in his office and Miss Tayke, Cedric and Bunty help the NYPD track down the killer. (5) "HAUNTED HOUSE MURDER MYSTERY". Miss Tayke and her friends are invited to spend the weekend at a haunted stately home where one of the guests is poisoned at dinner on the first night. Despite unremitting rain, gale force winds, thunder and lightning outside, and horrifying screams, maniacal laughter and ghoulish apparitions inside, Miss Tayke successfully brings the murderer to justice. (6) "FLYING SCOTSMAN MURDER MYSTERY". Minus her friends on this occasion Miss Tayke boards the famous early morning rail service from Edinburgh Waverley to King's Cross in London. The journey only takes four hours but it seems like four days to Miss Tayke as she becomes involved with a vanishing passenger, espionage, and suspected sabotage; all orchestrated by a motley gang of criminals.
