About the Author

Cheryl Johnson, both author and illustrator of Mish The Mushroom Man has been interested in art all her life. She started drawing at an early age and continued throughout her school years. Her art career took a back seat to raising a family for many years. Then, in her late thirties, she decided to go to a local art college and finally got a degree in Fine Arts. She currently works as a puzzle designer for a hand cut wooden jig saw company. Recently she has discovered the world of digital art and in the past year has illustrated several children's books, and is now exploring the possibilities of publishing her own works. Some of the stories that she is working on now were ones she created for her own children when they were young, including Mish. She hopes that you will enjoy Mish as much as her four children and their friends did.
