Content varies between species; one animal's treatment may include diet, while the next describes sleep patterns. Vocabulary and space limitations sometimes result in confusing explanations, but the glossary provides a better description. Designed for new readers, the text is separated in white boxes overlaid on colorful background banners and photos. Size comparisons to humans and a location map are included with each animal (though Dogs and Farm Animals don't contain maps). Controlled vocabulary, short sentences, and a small format make these titles possible choices for early readers.
