About the Author

When the Austrian master painter Friedensreich Hundertwasser (1928-2000) passed by a newsstand, he always asked first for illustrated magazines and comic books. This observation by the art historian Wieland Schmied is included in the new comic biography Hundertwasser, published by Willi Blöß. Blöß is both a publisher and an illustrator. He began with his comic biographies ten years ago. The booklets contain short comic scenes from the artists' lives as well as texts from which their main biographical data emerge.
