Overview

Mei Ling is a baby Panda who along with her mother is being sent on loan from China to a zoo in Canada. There is a mixup at one of the stops on the way and Mei Ling ends up in Alaska. There she is found and rescued by a young Alaskan girl called Nolee. The story ends with the joyous reunion of mother and baby at the zoo in Canada.

As a child I had a vivid imagination, as a mother I listened to many fantasies and dreams,and as a teacher I listened to more dreams and expectations of children from all walks of life. I have used my imagination coupled with the knowledge that most children like animals, they also want to learn about animals they can only see on T.V. or read about in books.
