About the Author

Maggie Mockingbird, Born on March 2, 1981. With a lifelong dream of leaving some sort of memorable legacy behind. "If I've ever known anything it's that I was destined to be a wife & mother. With old-time values instilled in my heart and head, I dreamt of would I do more. I finally found my missing piece at the age of 39 when Little Luke came along & God filled my heart with a new song. The song is this One day at a time, Series." Momma always said, "inch by inch, it's all a cinch, by the yard it's hard." "I've found that to be very true & strive daily to let each day be as it right now, One day at a time."

Illustrator Maria Lawrence is a Mississippi-based graphic designer and illustrator. She received her Bachelor's of Fine Arts in Graphic Design from the University of South Alabama in 2021. During her time in school, she has placed in multiple collegiate art competitions and has been awarded many art scholarships to help pay for her tuition. As a professional Graphic Designer, Maria has taken on multiple freelance projects, including this book series' illustrations, paintings, branding, and lettering projects. She currently works as a pre-press worker at a renowned commercial printing company. Whenever she isn’t creating for others, she enjoys spending time with her family, playing her flute, and going thrifting.
