Maybe I'm GG

GG is an expressive and imaginative 4 year old girl who narrates the book from her own innocent perspective. Though GG may not be her real name, she knows what sound the “G” makes (eg “Grandpa’s girl,” “go-go goner,” “gloomy grungies”) and uses the the sound to describe herself, her adventures and the way she feels. Feelings can be wonderful and feelings can be scary, but she concludes that she can still feel safe no matter what feelings she has. She mentions her grandparents and it’s clear their love plays a role in her image of herself and the world.
On the last page, the author’ s granddaughter to whom the book is dedicated is featured in the illustration.
