About the Author

Maureen Scanlan grew up in Semaphore, South Australia. She was raised surrounded by a large family and a wonderful next-door neighbour whom everyone loved to visit, particularly on Sunday mornings to play with the toy animals.Fuelled by a love of travel and meeting new friends, she feels fortunate to have lived and worked in various places in Australia and England.Having always aspired to write a book, Maureen woke up one day in August 2020 realising the story she wanted to tell as a tribute to a former boss and cherished friend who had passed away at the beginning of the year.Hoping this is the first of many more books, Maureen has begun to work on the second.
