Max Gets It! is the narrative of excuberant 10-year old Maximillion, who wants the latest video game. His parents start giving him an allowance for doing extra chores, with the understanding that he can decide what to do with his income. Teaches kids about earning money by working for it, or by getting good grades and getting gift money.

Max goes through the cycle of earning, impulse spending and being filled with buyer's remorse when he waste his earnings. Teaches kids about wasting money.

His parents show him how to budget and Max makes his own financial plan that results in his buying the video game for himself, giving money to charity and starting a bank account. Max learns how to set financial priorities and how to make a personal budget.

The subtitle of Volume 3 is "Max Gets It!" because financially speaking, Max gets the basics of finance and good money management in this book.

The book is fun and easy to read. It teaches basic finance to kids. The charming illustrations by William Graft will connect readers of all ages to the child within.
