Matt the Monkey Faces His Future
Do you wish you had learned to invest in yourself earlier in life? Learn how to INVEST IN "FUTURE YOU" (both skills and finances) and develop BASIC MONEY SKILLS, by exploring PERSONAL FINANCE while enjoying a beautiful, powerful, and engaging story with your kids!

——-
Who are the most important people in your life? One of them should be "Future You," and when it comes to building a strong future for yourself (with finances or with skills), there is no doubt that the earlier you start preparing, the better. Join Matt the Monkey as he learns that some very simple tricks could mean the difference between Future Matt's hungry tummy and his banana-filled cabana.

This motivational reading book teaches children AND adults how to:

-Invest in yourself - both your skills, and your finances
-Prioritize "Future You"
-Build basic money skills at a young age, before habits are solidified
-Help others while helping yourself
-For the nerds, the research behind the theme: In 2018, PBS News Hour proclaimed that "Money habits are set by age 7." Younger Me Academy knows not to trust headlines, so we read the studies (Whitehead, Bingham, 2013)-and while it's an exaggeration, there is some truth: kids grasp basic money concepts by age 3 and have developed many related habits including conservation by age 7. Meanwhile, 31% of parents aren't having money conversations with kids (2022 CNBC Acorns) and 36% feel unprepared in financial literacy (2019 Country Financial).

About the Author

Ben Okon is a children's book author who never outgrew his childhood habit of asking "why?" and "how?" Now that he's a father of two and has to be the one giving the answers, he loves challenging himself to think through the things he wishes he had known earlier in life from the perspective of a child.

But he's not just an author, and he brings a unique analytical method to the design of his children's books. In his other life, Ben is a business leader who has developed people, product, and corporate strategies with companies like Google, Bain & Co., and Starwood Hotels. He crafts and tests each of his books using the same rigor that he employs when making decisions for some of the world's most influential leaders.

He is a regular contributor to schools and educational nonprofits, and holds an MBA from the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania and a BS from the School of Hotel Administration at Cornell University.
