Overview

To become a martyr, one has to suffer persecution and death for their beliefs and advocacy.
Through a thought-provoking collection of radical poetry and prose, S.E.'s debut novel, Martyr, explores
both the empowering beauty and the immense grief that comes with dedicating one's life to social justice advocacy.
This book contains themes that some may find distressing and uncomfortable. Please read at your own discretion.

About the Author

Whether the stories were told through comic strips or gut-wrenching examinations of the human condition,
S.E. has always had a knack for storytelling. An undergraduate film student minoring in
creative writing, S.E. currently resides in the cornfields of central Illinois and spends their days writing political poetry and watching old sitcom reruns.
Martyr is their debut poetry and prose collection and has been in the works since S.E. was just
thirteen-years-old. Now nineteen, S.E. has achieved their childhood dream of becoming a self-published author and they have absolutely no plan of stopping anytime soon.
