About the Author

Roderick Cooksey grew up in a single-parent household, in Southeast San Diego. One month after finishing high school he lost his mom to Cancer and had his first baby. He decided to marry early and face a new challenge of becoming a good husband, man and father all on his own. 20 plus years later he is a therapeutic counselor, residing in San Diego, California with his wife/high school sweetheart and 5 beautiful children. He is now sharing some of the knowledge he has learned through his marriage journey and extensive research he has conducted interviewing other successful married Urban couples.
