About the Author

About Sharon Cramer, Author of Marlow and the Monster

Sharon Cramer’s latest project is Cramer’s first venture into the world of black and white. Marlow and the Monster is an incredibly sophisticated work, the artwork being black and white ink with only a splash of color...the monster.

The story is wonderfully endearing as Marlow has a pestering monster that returns almost nightly to create all kinds of mischief for Marlow. When mom and dad don’t see the monster, they tell Marlow, “Monster’s aren’t real!”

At his wits end, Marlow finally takes the monster down the hall to little sister Sarah’s room, and gets in very much trouble for scaring little sis. BUT–it takes four year old Sarah to ultimately help Marlow figure out what to do about his monster! It has a delightful ending that every child is sure to love, for what child has not confronted their own monsters?

Cramer is also the author and illustrator of the award-winning three-book series, Cougar Cub Tales.

Now a picture book series written in rhyme and illustrated in vibrant watercolor, Cougar Cub Tales covers everyday kid issues from sibling rivalry and tolerance to childhood illness. The series has been awarded two Mom’s Choice Awards for Best Picture Book for Lost and Alone and I’m Just Like You (both published in December 2010 by B & F Publishing), and The Sneezy Wheezy Day, which was just released January 1, 2012.

Cramer is also working on a Fantasy series entitled The Cerulean Star, and has just released her first full length novel, The Execution, in February of 2012.

A native New Yorker, Cramer lived throughout the United States before settling in the Pacific northwest. She is also a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist. Sharon is also an avid equestrian who rides almost daily. However, Cramer says she lives for writing and painting –her two passions.

Cramer earned a BS in Science and Nursing from Idaho State University and a Master’s in Anesthesia and Education from Gonzaga University. An artist at heart, she also studied art and design at the University of Houston. She has three grown sons and lives with her husband in Spokane, Washington.
