About the Author

The most challenging part about raising kids that you enjoy spending time with is letting them fly. Last year, Addi ‘s senior year, I was having a hard time preparing to launch another one of our five. Addi spoke to my sadness, “Mom, I know what you’re going to do, you’re going to walk beside parents...” That day I started writing this content. Twenty plus years of counseling adolescents created a close-up view of students’ hearts, thoughts, disappointments, hopes, and how they perceive life. Each student’s perception of life has a direct correlation with their feelings about their relationship with each parent. Listening to the thoughts and hopes of the teens shaped Dan&my parenting style and inspired this curriculum. We can build relationships with our kids that we enjoy today and tomorrow!
