Overview

This coloring book is a little different from what you normally see. These 88 images began their life as butterfly photographs, full of color and depth and detail. The author, a professional photographer, helped them evolve from photographs to drawings, so they have shadows, highlights, and many of the subtleties from their original photograph, now in varying shades of grey. What this means for you as the coloring artist, is that you have a great deal of freedom to determine how these pictures will evolve with color applied to them. You get to shape them with your own personal artistic style.

About the Author

Jeanne discovered coloring a few years ago when she was going through a difficult transition and needed a way to relax. She was so stressed out that her dog, Natasha, almost died picking up her anxiety and inner turmoil.

But coloring saved them both and Jeanne's been hooked ever since. Natasha, who had been at death's doorstep two years ago is now 15 years old and spry as a puppy, racing up the stairs two at a time. They owe it all to coloring.

Jeanne became a glitter pen fanatic and created some of the most beautiful designs in other people's coloring books.

Then she started creating her own drawings and became unstoppable. She also conducts coloring workshops where participants rave about how meditative the sessions are, especially because they hadn't been able to meditate before.

Jeanne is already working on two new coloring books on mandalas and flowers. Look for them very soon.
