Overview

Welcome to Makeshift, a poetry book created in, well, a makeshift time in our existence.
B.A. McRae's newest book is intertwined with poems written in a time of devastation of the heart, repairing of the mind and isolation in the world, to the radical healing of the soul, and celebrating in the midst of blessings and love.
Makeshift was a boarding pass to the reality B.A. McRae was determined to build for herself, let this be yours to whatever you may need; a makeshift, ticket if you will.

About the Author

B.A. McRae is a quirky radically optimistic poet who takes care of her readers by painting a picture in their minds and giving them words and rhymes they can relate to.
She has unapologetically delivered poetry glazed in empathy, honesty, and originality since 2008 and went on to publish her first book in 2016 at the age of 19.
Makeshift is her newest poetry book and one that was created within the wildest time in her life; filled with layers of agony to jubilation, your mind is bound to escape in its imagination.
B.A. McRae resides in the tundra of central Wisconsin, where she spends her time being groovy and drinking coffee.
