About the Author

Jim Upton worked for 25 years at a Montreal aerospace plant. In 2010, he participated in contract talks as a member of the union negotiating committee. His novel Maker draws on that experience and his years spent in the workplace. Jim Upton lives in Montreal. Jim Upton worked for twenty-five years in unionized jobs at an aerospace plant. During this time, he participated in several sets of contract negotiations, including one as a member of the union negotiating committee. He lives in Montreal. Maker is his first novel.
