If you are like me and always losing your pins, these projects are fun to make and useful too. Sometimes it is good to have small projects to sew that are finished quickly. There are a variety of 12 different shapes, that even include an ant and they have wide appeal. It’s a great selection. You can also adapt the idea and make many more pincushions. For example, the cupcake could be adapted with different colours and embellishments into dozens of pincushions. Various techniques are used to create the pincushions from applique to piecing and embroidery. Each pincushion is designed by a different designer and has appeared in a previous publication. The instructions are clear and the photos are great – this is a fun yet practical book for any sewing enthusiast.
