Overview

Nicholas and Jaq are ordinary boys, living ordinary lives in medieval England. At least until the day they find the orb. Soon, they find themselves granted magic beyond anything most people could imagine. The only question is what they will do with it.

For Nicholas, power is a way to help people. For Jaq, it is a way to be free of his controlling family. When they meet the girl of their dreams, neither can back down. Soon, though, the two find themselves facing a far bigger threat, and they must change the world, or watch it destroyed.

Alaina Kelly is a highly creative tween that loves music, dance, art and stories, especially the kind she listens to at bedtime. Her creative skills landed her a place in the gifted and talented program at school where she developed her storytelling ability. But her creativity doesn't stop with storytelling. Among other things, Alaina also has a passion for playing piano and has won numerous piano awards. At age eight, she performed in front of an audience at Carnegie Hall in New York.
