Brooks Growing up in a small town fueled E.W.’s desire to see more and led her to larger cities where she always kept abreast of events via the nightly news and local newspapers. Brooks was intrigued by the stories of those who made an effort at a better life; on the wrong side of the law. Her curiosities led to much research and her writing, the "Mafietta" series. Brooks' series chronicles a family, thrust into the throes of the underworld, and their mission to create legitimate wealth. The series takes its reader on a roller coaster of emotion as Clarke struggles to overcome their past and bring pride to her family's name. "Mafietta" garnered the attention of BET Music Mogul Damon Dash in June of 2015 and the duo began production within 2 weeks. Dash enlisted the help of fellow Harlem native Murda Mook and Flava of Love Contestant Deelishis to brings Brooks’ words to life. Despite being focused on building the "Mafietta" brand, Brooks always seeks out ways to support other women, especially other entrepreneurs. She conducts workshops on “Making Your Social Media Investment Work for You” and helps young entrepreneurs understand how to use the world wide web to strategically grow their business.
