About the Author

Ann Wright- Henry is a bit of naturalist and as such she is always on the lookout for ways in which she can be more in harmony with her planet and her universe. This led to her finding the macrobiotic lifestyle and finding out more about it. Through her research she came to the conclusion that this was the way to go to not only be healthier and less angry with her surroundings but just to find general peace. Everyone is looking for more natural ways to live and the majority of the diet included things that she could grow right in her own backyard or could easily get from her local grocery store.

She has opted to share what she has discovered in the form of a guide, staring with a detailed definition of macrobiotics and going on to get to the foods and how they relate to the body. As a bonus the last chapter includes a few quick recipes that anyone can prepare.

The macrobiotic diet is more than a diet, it is a total change of lifestyle and Ann is aware that some will have difficulty with this. It can be done however if the transition is done in increments and not all at once.
