Overview

"Lyrical Portraits" is a series of poems and graphic art that was created over a lifetime. They tell the story of some of my biggest and smallest life changing experiences. I am hoping that the reader will see and feel how I was able to overcome struggles as well as enjoy some of the simplest things in life. In this world, there is truly art and poetry in everything.

About the Author

Cherith's love of photography and poetry started when she was a child. She began writing poetry in high school, winning a state poetry contest in her senior year.  Her passion for both the art of photography and poetry quickly grew after her children were born.  She wanted to catch their every emotion and facial expression.  Time spent at the family cabin opened her vision to what was around her, challenging her to capture it from unique angles.

At age 25, Cherith entered a new life arena as she struggled with debilitating health issues while at the same time finding out what true love really was.  All of her life events have molded her and have been instrumental in her unique expressions through photography and writing. 

Cherith embraces that her photography, art, and writing are not limited to just pictures, or writings on paper.  She has captured images, moments, and emotions so they can be treasured for a lifetime.

But most of all, Cherith's faith comes before anything. She is so thankful for the artistic gifts and writing abilities which God has given to her and through these gifts desires to bring glory to Him.
