Roberta and Brett McKenna had big dreams. They dreamed of running their own little cattle ranch, starting a family, and growing old together. All those dreams were starting to come true when an unexpected visit from the sheriff changed Roberta's world forever. Roberta now faced new challenges and would have new dreams and goals. Peggie is a native Californian and moved to the St. Louis area to be close to family. She loves to research history, especially the time of our country’s Western Expansion and the role that women played in settling the west. She goes to lectures about the settling of the west so that her stories have an authentic feel for the time they occur. When not writing, Peggie enjoys camping and fishing with her family.
