Overview

Eliza left her life of prostitution to become something she could never be back in Omaha: a lady. Her plan is to remain single for the rest of her life, but when she arrives in South Dakota, she runs into John Evans. And he’s not about to let her remain single if he has anything to do about it.

She has been happily married for eighteen years to a sweet and funny guy, and they have four sons, who are all taller than Ruth now that they're 14, 15, 16, and 18. The good thing is she doesn't need a ladder, and there's always someone to take care of a mouse that squeezes its way into her Montana home.
