Love, Misha
In this stunning YA graphic novel, a nonbinary teen and their mother get lost in the spirit world, and their already-strained relationship gets tested to its limits as they dodge perilous creatures, trickster spirits, and their own inner demons.

Misha, a quiet, nonbinary teen, leans on the car window and wonders why they came on this road trip in the first place. Yes, mom (Audrey) wanted to spend time with them, and yes, she's never really around and they don't even live together, so this is a rare opportunity. But Audrey still thinks of Misha as her daughter and the lack of understanding of who Misha really is has gotten painful. After some failed attempts at communication, Misha tries to explain how they feel in a letter but even writing that isn't going well. Can this get any worse?

It turns out it can…a wrong turn down a forest road leads the mother-child duo straight into the Realm of the Spirits! Suddenly in peril and without a single clue how to return to their world, Misha and Audrey will have to work together to find their way back home. But can they even find a way back to each other?

In this stunning adventure, debut author Jam Aden weaves a story of family schism and reconciliation that effortlessly enriches the complex dynamics of mother and child.

About the Author

Jam Aden (he/they) is queer cartoonist and bog creature based in Copenhagen, Denmark. He has been making comics since he knew what comics were; a path that eventually lead to a BA in Graphic Storytelling from The Animation Workshop in 2017, and has since then continued his art journey professionally. When he isn’t making too many different comics at the same time, he might be spotted in the wilderness looking at mushrooms and herons or in the kitchen baking cakes for his friends.
