Love Is Looking For You...Are You Ready?

Love Is Looking for You…Are You Ready? is filled with true and encouraging stories inspired by the Holy Spirit, to help a woman prepare herself to receive the right kind of love. Oftentimes, we ask the Lord to bless us or send us a husband, when most of the time we truly are not prepared to receive the man God has lovingly prepared for us. In other words, we need to get our house (our lives) in order so we can be ready to receive the love we have been asking, praying, declaring, and decreeing God to send into our lives. This book will cover some of the issues women might face while waiting for that special person to come into their lives. We will discuss issues such as healthy and unhealthy relationships, children, looking for men, and getting our houses in order.
To receive the love we desire, the first thing we should do is to make sure that we are prepared mentally, physically, and spiritually to receive this remarkable man BEFORE the Lord sends him to us.
Ladies, before we say “I DO” to the man we are going to marry, we need to make sure we have all our “I DON’TS” out of the way. For example, if we DON’T like cooking, DON’T like cleaning, DON’T like washing clothes, and DON’T like getting up early, then we shouldn’t ask God to bless us with a husband because all these things are extremely important in married life. So, I strongly suggest that we get all our “I DON’TS” out of the way.
As women of God, we should be about our business if we expect God to enlarge our territory. Okay? I know we spend a lot of time on getting our bodies tight, and hair and nails done, but let me tell you all that will not last. I’m not saying it is not necessary because we should take care of ourselves. However, if that is all you are using to attract a man, years down the line you are going to have problems. The Word says, “Charm is deceptive, and beauty does not last; but, a woman who fears the LORD will be greatly praised. Reward her for all she has done. Let her deeds publicly declare her praise” (Proverbs 31:30 NLT). All the Bare Minerals, Fashion Fair, and Maybelline will not help us keep a man. Oh, it may lure him in, but the Word says it will not last. We should start out with the correct foundation, and I am sure we know The Foundation I am talking about. If you want to know some of the things we should work on, start by reading in the book of Proverbs, and you will discover the beautiful characteristics of a woman who has captured the heart of the right man. In chapter 31, starting at verse 10, it talks about the characteristics of a virtuous woman. It reads she’s capable, trustworthy; she will enrich her husband’s life, and she will get up before dawn to prepare breakfast before her household.
One of the things we must work on is rising early. A virtuous woman rises early to prepare for her day and to get things ready for her family. Verse 17 goes on to say she is energetic, strong, and a hard worker. Okay, I hear someone asking, “What is the man doing?” I know some of you are saying, "That was then; this is now," and a lot has changed since that verse was written. I understand there are many women working outside the home because sometimes it takes two incomes to keep things going. Hold on ladies; do not count me out. I’ve been both a stay-at-home mom and a working mother; therefore, I feel your pain and we’re going to work together to get us there. However, we still need to understand if we want to be a virtuous woman, part of our responsibility is to rise early to get things prepared for our family. And ladies remember this: When the prophets wrote that verse, don’t you know Our Heavenly Father already knew our beginning and our end? Nothing ever catches Him by surprise. Just because things have changed in this world, it does not excuse us from doing what the Lord expects us to do. Neither does it excuse the men from treating women like the treasures God created us to be for them.

About the Author

I've been in the ministry for over 20 years. My writing ministry has been blessing people on the internet for over 10 years with words of encouragement to strengthen and comfort those in their walk with the Lord.

“Are You Ready to Receive the Love You Desire” was my first book, and I just released my second book entitled "Where Peaceful Waters Flow", which is a devotional book. I am currently working on my third book "The Storm Will Stop, Don't Jump Ship", which is filled with inspirational stories about surviving through the storms of life. It should be released soon. I am really excited about it, and I hope you will be too!

I'm studying Christian Counseling at Crown College. I have 4 wonderful (grown) children, and 6 beautiful grandchildren. When I am not busy with the ministry or writing, I'm trying out new dessert recipes (I love to bake), and listening to some good inspirational music. I enjoy spending time with my family whenever possible (especially the grandchildren), and traveling with my daughters Chelle, Angee, and my niece Christina, I think they keep me young,
