He has the same brother and sister. Christian still has the same chores to do. Christian's Mom and Dad still love him as much as ever and that won't ever change. When Christian's Mom and Dad divorce and move into their own houses, Christian has people to love . . . and people to love him, from both houses.

Chapter One

My name is Christian. This is me. Do you see me?

I bet you can't tell ...

... that my parents are divorced.

I don't look divorced do I? Divorced is not a look. Divorced is not a name that people call you. Divorced isn't you.

Divorce is what happens to big people when they can't get along well enough to live together any more. It's like having a disagreement with a friend only the disagreement can't be fixed because you can't talk it out and you can't walk it out and you can't work it out no matter how hard you try or want to.

Divorce. It's not a bad thing. It's no one's fault, it's just that the Mom and Dad don't think the same anymore.

Since my parents got divorced, I am happier because my Mom and Dad are happier. No more disagreements. No more fighting.

My parents got divorced ... but I'm not. I still have the same Mom and Dad. My Mom and Dad are still my parents. They still love me just like before. I still love them.

I still have the same big brother and the same little sister that get into my things when they shouldn't.

Divorce worked out fine for me ... and it will for you too. Your parents still love you no matter where they are at.

My parents love me just like before the divorce ... now they just love me from different places ... but they love me all the time.

My Mom and Dad still make me do lots of things, like follow house rules, just like they used to. Some I don't mind and some I just don't like. I still have to eat vegetables and take a bath ... at both houses.

See the spinach in my teeth? See how strong and clean I am?

I still have to brush my teeth ... at both houses. See my clean, white teeth?
