Lost Cocktails: Compilation of Vintage Bartending Techniques and Cocktail Recipes

Overview

This compilation was researched through archives of resources dating from the 1800's to early 1920s. I don't pretend to be an expert in the subject of bartending or mixology. At most I'm a hobbyist. These resources were found serendipitously while doing research for another project pertaining to the time period. I found these recipes and bartending tips along the way and wanted to pass along the findings. Most of the time they are useful, sometimes laughable and in a few cases downright odd. But above all, these voices from the past deserve to be heard and shared and in that spirit, I submit these to your perusal.

In the intervening years she has worked as a graphic designer, spending the bulk of her career in the newspaper field including The Houston Chronicle and The Cleveland Plain Dealer.
