Lorenzo Snow Spiritual Giant, Prophet of God

Lorenzo Snow was the fifth president of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Shortly after his conversion, he received a revelation of the divine potential of man. Before becoming president of the Church, he was privileged to see the Savior and talk with him in the Salt Lake Temple. Later, advanced in age, he received a revelation on tithing that brought the Church and its members from the brink of financial ruin. Lorenzo Snow was indeed a spiritual giant. But what made him that way?

In this comprehensive biography, author Francis M. Gibbons explores the qualities and activities that made Lorenzo Snow the kind of man he was. He describes Lorenzo's conversion, his missionary service, his family life, his involvement with the Box Elder cooperatives, and his service int he Quorum of the Twelve and the First Presidency, with special insight into the spiritual motivations behind them all.

"The object of this biography," writes the author, "is to probe into the reasons, the motivations, and the disciplines that converted a young, obscure boy into a powerful, accomplished man with a celestial character and bearing."
