Aditya's life for the past two years was spent serving Pleag. She hated every moment of it and wished she had her old life back on the Sun Towers. On an ordinary day serving Lord Pleag as his wine pourer, he was visited by the war machines called the Kyionians. Aditya and all the other servants were amazed that a race could be so gigantic. It was custom for the servants not to look in the eyes of their guest, so she didn't even realize when the new king was talking to her.
