While his undeserving wife Andromeda attempts to solve an archeological mystery, the inbred man-child named Dylan Dough toils away in the back of an adult film shop repairing videotapes. By day he frequents cheap steakhouses and by night lurks behind the door of his precious microwave waiting for hormone-addled frozen pizzas to ding. In one zipper pocket of his cargo pants he cradles a wireless mouse beneath a canopy of dirty, overgrown nails, and in the other, his primitive cellphone. Every spare moment he spends logged into online chat rooms while Andromeda works to advance her career, slowly distancing herself from his poisonous presence.
But one day, all that can possibly go wrong in life does, and within the span of a single afternoon, Dylan Dough has lost his wife, his house, his family, his worldly possessions, and all of his stock investments.
What ensues from out of the chaos are an absurd series of episodes wherein Dylan Dough discovers that he simply cannot die. No matter the number of times or the manner in which he attempts to take his own life, Death will not allow him to commit suicide.
