About the Author

Carri Lacka is a middle-aged Gen X'er woman who grew up in and is currently living in the Northeast part of New England. Carri is an avid researcher of all things related to attention deficits, in addition to, finding holistic natural cures for everyday ailments. You can find Carri sharing suggestions with neighbors, friends and colleagues ranging from the regional honey remedy to cure local seasonal allergies to replacing old pillows to remediate morning congestion.

Carri holds a magna cum laude degree in Psychology and is currently working to achieve her MSBA/MBA dual degree at a local university.

Carri has worked in accounting, cash management and product management for the last 20 years and as she shared with a hiring employer many years ago during an interview when he asked "How will your Psychology degree apply to this position?" Ms. Lacka replied that psychology principles such as group dynamics, effective communication styles, effective coping skills, de-escalating crisis situations, and handling anger management issues can be applied to all industries and across all job titles." She was hired on the spot and does believe that many psychological foundations can be applied to everyday life. Carri's research and insight offers a refreshing blend of realistic strategies for real life scenarios without getting lost in medical jargon. Looking forward to her next practical guide as she applies real life principles in an easy readable format.
