About the Author

Jerry Smath has written over 40 children's books and illustrated well over 100 books by other authors. He has won awards, designed stamps for the United Nations, and had his first book become a classic that is shown on BBC TV, but he says illustrating Little Golden Books is "like coming home." As a child, he loved them. And as an artist, he aspired to illustrate them.
