About the Author

Melanie Richardson Dundy received her education in English Literature from Southern Illinois University and the
University of Iowa. She was contracted by Grant County, Oregon to write FORESTS FOR ALL, a book explaining to children the importance of forests and forest management. The book was nominated for the 2010 Arbor Day Foundation Media Award. While living in Houston, Texas, she had several articles published in the Houston Chronicle.
