Overview

The newest entry in the Johnnie Wise series is a historical thriller fiction book that finds her in greater danger than she's ever been before.

Johnnie thinks she has finally found happiness. She has married the wealthy evangelist, Paul Masterson, and she and her new husband are traveling the world. Seeing sights that she never thought she would see and having the time of her life, Johnnie never wants this bliss to end. But the world is cruel, the past is inescapable, and Johnnie is destined to bring trouble with her wherever she goes.

After the death of Johnnie's former lover Earl Shamus, his eighteen-year-old daughter, Janet, has become the head of Buchanan Enterprises, her grandfather's billion-dollar conglomerate. But, Janet Shamus is not content with her newfound wealth and power. Thanks to incriminating tapes and photographs that PI Tony Hatcher gave her, Janet is convinced that Johnnie played a significant role in her father's untimely death.

Set on exacting revenge, Janet puts Tony Hatcher on retainer.
Together, they will stop at nothing to find Johnnie Wise and kill her.

This historical suspense thriller finds Johnnie facing her greatest danger yet.
Johnnie and Paul Masterson must find a way to save themselves from a powerful, wealthy, and furious woman.

Can Johnnie Wise once again escape those who wish to harm her? Or has trouble finally become too much for even this vivacious woman to handle?

About the Author

Keith Lee Johnson is a United States Air Force veteran, the author of 17 novels, and the former editor of Insight Magazine. He served his country in Texas, Mississippi, Nevada, California, Turkey, Indiana, and various other places in his four years of active service. He has written in several genres, including suspense/thrillers, drama, historical fiction, and contemporary fiction. His most successful novels are the Little Black Girl Lost stories, seven to date. The journey to publication was an arduous one and began at Robert S. Rogers High School during the Fall semester when his composition teacher ridiculed him in front of his peers for a poorly written paper. Humiliated, he dropped the class, and no longer pursued education. Two decades later, he entered Owens Community College, as it was more cost effective. Upon graduation, he planned to attend a fully accredited local university to get a degree in psychology, as he never intended to be an author. That, too, was interrupted by a literature professor who challenged his ability to write a credible story early in the Fall semester. Unlike his high school experience, he accepted the challenge, picked up a pen that very day, and has been writing ever since. His failed past turned into fierce determination. He worked full-time and was a full-time student. He graduated with honors and became the commencement speaker for the December graduating class. He lives in Toledo, Ohio.
