About the Author

Lotta Jansdotter is a self-taught designer and style icon. Scandinavian-born and New York–based, she is the author of ten books, and her designs adorn everything from rugs to dishware. Her designs have also appeared in magazines, museums, and books.
Although happily considered a modern quilter, Cheryl produces work that spans several techniques. She is in love with scraps, circles, and improvisational piecing. The ability to just sit and sew is what gets her through the day, even when that sewing comes without a plan or any reason. It always comes together (eventually). Cheryl is a quilter and writer. She writes and teaches on quilting, craft, creativity, food, and family. And it all comes from her dining room empire in her crowded, colorful house. From this space she wrote her first book, Sunday Morning Quilts (co-authored with Amanda Jean Nyberg) and her second book, A Month of Sundays. She also regularly contributes articles and patterns to numerous magazines. At home, she is mother to two wild little girls and an adventurous boy. Her husband puts up with her quilting because he gets cold in the evenings. Visit her website at cherylarkison.com.
