DEC 07/JAN 08 - AudioFile

Paul Michael does a credible rendition of this inspirational audiobook. His measured tones and distinctive voice make it an easy listen. Bonhoeffer, martyred in Nazi Germany in 1945, and a hero to many, is often compared to the Apostle Paul. He spent years in prison for his faith and eventually lost his life. This writing simply describes what he sees as the elements of Christian faith and practice. Aspects that are often taken for granted, such as prayer, scripture reading, praise, and family life, are set forth in a practical message from the prison cell. Bonhoeffer's thoughts combine with Michael's narration to make worthwhile listening. N.L. © AudioFile 2007, Portland, Maine
