Overview

If you are confused about life as is, you are not alone. If you at times wonder what the heck we are doing here on Earth, you are not really that special, because we all wonder (maybe that is rather special, come to think of it). If you roll your eyes and shake your head on a regular basis, you can consider yourself very normal - at least what I'm concerned. If some or all of the above is you to some extend or another, this blog is for you.

LIFE AS IT REALLY IS highlights some of the silliness around us, some observations we all see, but rarely notice; obscure things we do and say, things we take for granted - and then freely accept. Luckily we react to a lot of all this stuff with a giggle or a laugh, and that is actually how we should greet so much of our daily surroundings. I'm here to put it all in perspective, to make it understandable, bring it to your attention and then add a bit of logic where no logic is visible - perhaps.
All you have to do is just sit back, read and ride along, while I do all the hard labor - which makes me a nice guy, huh? Enjoy, and thanks for buying this book - really (I assume that is what you have done or are about to do).

About the Author

WHO IS THAT GUY?
Peter B. Steiness was born in Denmark after 1832. Lived a fairly comfortable middle-class childhood, slightly outside Copenhagen; was shy and adorable early on, which bloomed into charm and even more adorable, splashed with sarcasm and bits of cynicism. Dabbled a business career in women's fashion and finished life in Denmark dealing in fine art.
Moved to California and lived some years in Marina Del Rey playing tennis, sun-tanning and selling art from own gallery in Beverly Hills - really. Spent time in Washington state (not prison), but due to extreme weather conditions (no sun), moved south and San Francisco. Worked in the art-business there for three years; met fabulous woman from Sweden, married her, started own business and two sons. Moved to Santa Rosa, California, to support the local wine economy - and does he ever...
He has been writing since he could (duh!) and still has romance novels and comedies from those early days. These original scripts will be worth a lot of money after he dies, he says - okay, so he is also big-headed.
Uninteresting information you really don't need to know:
He is six foot one lying down; between 180 and 216 pounds (before and after dinner!); premature grey hair (really, he's only whatever); mustache decoratively placed between lower nose and upper lip; two sons now adults; one son's great girlfriend and one great daughter-in-law. Peter speaks several languages (none of them fluently); is for the most sarcastically observing his surroundings, but in a cute and charming way. He loves life except when it sucks... If you really must know: His favorite color is chartreuse and his lucky number is 8,339; but please don't tell anybody...
