About the Author

Rebecca Ireland was diagnosed with thyroid cancer at the still youthful age of 36. Since then, she has undergone thyroidectomy, radiation, and some of the most severe side effects of hypothyroidism. Yet, Rebecca turned her health challenges into a mission as a worldwide patient advocate. She is the founder of the Facebook group, Life After Thyroidectomy, and the inventor of ThyVita brand health supplements.

A former journalist, Rebecca penned her first book, Life After Thyroidectomy, from her point of view as a patient. Written with compassion and from the heart with a tang of humor.
