Yet, these short terse lines are often amusing as they are self deprecating-: As she pours hot wax/ I'm convinced I will date/ someone normal next. In the end, the lovers find the journey not without its pleasures but difficult to sustain: Another argument/ ends in her screaming/ until a taxi arrives.
