Dr. (Mrs.) Jaya Barevadia did completed B. Com. (South Gujarat University, Surat ), Bachelor & Master of Library and Information Science, M.A. (Gandhi Darshan) (Gujarat Vidyapith, Ahmedabad) and Doctorate in Rural Studies (Veer Narmad South Gujarat University, Surat), She joined as college librarian at M.M. Shah, Mahila College of Arts at Kadi, Dist. Mehasana and currently working at Sheth P.T. Mahila College of Arts and Home Science, Vanita Vishram, Surat since 1993. She is actively engaged in the modernization/computerization of the college library. Published over 16 peer review scientific articles. She is associated member (service) in Gujarat Granthalaya Seva Sangh, Ahmedabad; ADINET, Ahmedabad; MANLIBNET, New Delhi and IASLIC , Kolkatta and currently serving as president of the Gujarat Granthalaya Seva Sangh of South Gujarat Zone since 2002 (2002-2010). She also served as subject expert in Interview committee at Veer Narmad South Gujarat University, Surat and Navsari Agricultural University, Navsari. She has attended and interacted in 16 National and State level seminars, 2 workshops, 3 refresher courses, one orientation course and acquired two trainings.
