“Billionaire, Dr. Victor Magnason, has six years left to live, his last dream...to leave behind a conservative news empire, Magnason News Network, that he believes will break the back of the liberal monopoly, but Dr. Magnason’s plans are thwarted by the Democrats.

Derrick Mitchum heads up a secret organization called Special Activities Division, a warlike asset that is on call by just one man: the sitting President of the United States. Derrick’s missions often fall outside international laws and a newly, elected Democrat President and his agenda need a Red Herring, something to put the Republicans on the defensive.

Dr. Magnason discovers the plan through a “whistle blower” and alerts Derrick to the danger. One of his teams is still in harms way...behind Iranian lines. Secreted to Iraq through his Washington connections, Derrick saves his men only to come face to face with an even more difficult decision: return to the states and become part of the liberals’ plan, or accept an offer made by Dr. Victor Magnason, to neutralize the American media monopoly…through violent means.”

About the Author

“Former software executive turned fiction writer, Francois Thomson is the eldest son of Rev. Frank B. Thomson, Jr. and Betty Louise (Wooten). Francois was born in Jacksonville, Florida in 1955, attended University of North Florida where he continued his education well into the business, graduate program.

After college Francois went to work for NCR where he was an account and sales representative. In 1992 he left the hardware side of the computer industry to sell software and eventually relocated to the Northwest where he finished his career in business only to become one of those modern-day, stay-at-home dads.

Francois’ writing style reflects his business background and conservative outlook on both fiscal and social issues. His books are, by design, written to provide like-minded readers with an outlet for escaping today’s troubling times. The topics are, likewise, intended to be provocative, in some cases humorous, wishful and thought provoking.”
