About the Author

Armand Ferland Sr., a native Vermonter now residing in Port Saint Lucie, FL, brings a unique life story to his readers. Growing up as one of nine children on a rural dairy farm instilled in him a foundation of strong work ethics. The challenges of coming from a financially modest background were further compounded by the untimely loss of his mother in 1969, just weeks after his high school graduation.
Armand's journey into adulthood began with marrying Dorothy Lee Hadlock on July 12, 1969, shortly after completing high school. Together, they navigated the complexities of life, raising two sons, Armand Jr. and Christopher, over their fifty-three-year marriage until Dorothy's passing.
Armand's unwavering faith in the Lord Jesus has been a constant throughout his life. In August 1976, he and Dorothy committed to deepening their faith, embarking on a journey that led them to various states. This life of faith, marked by trust in their Savior, eventually brought them back to their native state to care for their ailing parents.
Despite facing health challenges, Armand found success as a construction businessman, working with crews ranging from six to twelve employees. His resilience was tested in 1975 when he contracted Brucellosis (Undulant Fever) from cattle. The road to recovery was arduous, but his faith remained steadfast.
Osteoarthritis, a lasting effect of Undulant Fever, became debilitating in the 2000s, leading to surgeries in 2008 and 2009. During his recovery, Armand rediscovered his passion for writing, producing his longest book, "THE RIDE," in under 30 days. This marked the beginning of his literary journey, where he sought to share life's challenges and highlight remedies received from God.
Armand's writing extends a message of salvation, weaving faith into his characters' lives. While he doesn't work from a structured outline, he allows his faith to flow naturally into his storytelling. Through his books, he encourages readers to reflect on their lives and draw their own conclusions about following the Lord Jesus.
In his parting words to readers, Armand emphasizes the importance of God's love, family bonds, and the pursuit of true wealth without succumbing to greed. His series of five books based on Gideon delves into the Christian life, offering a progression of characters and narratives. Whether exploring crime-stopping heroes or family-friendly fiction, Armand invites readers to enjoy his works and glean insights for living within their pages.
