About the Author

LEAO, Maurice Américo est né en mille neuf cent quarante-sept, à Ambarés 33, commune sur l’estuaire de la Gironde. Sixième d’une fratrie de dix enfants, conçues de l’union d’un père portugais et d’une mère béarnaise.

Il a effectué son service militaire en partie au 126e RI de Brive (19), partie à l’école des sous-officiers de Saint Maixent (79).

A l’issue, il a intégré la gendarmerie nationale, où il a fait carrière, et franchi les divers grades jusqu'à celui de Major. Il est lieutenant de réserve, titulaire de la Médaille militaire.

Marié, père de deux filles, grand-père de deux petits-enfants, il occupe sa retraite à l’écriture.
