Leon Garrett is a sixteen-year-old photography intern working at a newspaper in Sedalia City, Indiana. As a young child, Leon was unwittingly involved in a laboratory accident involving lion DNA, giving him superhuman strength and lion-like abilities.
Leon is really Leoman, a half-human, half-lion superhero. Hidden to the rest of the world but a vigilante committed to protecting the innocent.
Known to the rest of the world as a myth or urban legend in a nearby town of Salemburg as "the beast." His best friend, Joe Vantrice, knows about the legend but doesn't know Leon's secret identity.
But like all things that are held secret - they eventually start to make their way out. Leon can't ignore the innocent calls for help caused by the dark forces evoking crime and mayhem forcing Leoman to emerge after 4 years in hiding. The police want to put a stop to the beast but Leoman is always one step ahead.
