"Learn from the things that you suffered."
Pastors need to understand that Christ is not just the head of the church but also their boss. He is the Chief-shepherd, and no one can question His decision. According to the passage Peter tells us that Christ will give us an imperishable and incorruptible reward. This is more than enough to motivate the pastors to do the work of God joyously and cheerfully. This also explains why Peter admonished the pastors in the early church not to allow money to determine their performance in his church. The word “reward” is used here, and it simply means that Christ will pay the faithful pastors that have labored in love and ministered to the saints. He further went to explain the nature of the payment, “he shall receive a crown of glory…”1Peter 5:17c. The wages that we receive for our labor on earth takes care of bills and other daily necessities and then finish, but when Christ pays us, it never ends because it is both material and spiritual. So, be faithful as a pastor and your reward will be sure.

Therefore, it is my prayer that this book be a source of blessing to pastors, mentors, and all those who are facing life vicissitude.
