About the Author

Mary Maguire was raised in Northern Ireland and this has influenced her writing, which covers a wide range of civil rights issues facing young people living in marginalised communities. She is a qualified youth worker, holds both an LLB and MA in Law, Medicine and Ethics and has worked for many years in local government. She teaches law at Manchester Metropolitan University.
