About the Author

Lynda Allison Doty earned Bachelors and Masters degrees at Georgia State University, and studied Clinical psychology at California School of Professional Psychology, completing part of her Ph.D. Unable to reconcile her studies with Christian faith, Doty dropped out of the doctoral program. Several years later, she completed her doctoral work through Evangel Christian University. God has led Doty away from traditional counseling and into the ministry as her vision has expanded. 'Jesus Christ is the Answer to every problem, every pain, every hurt, every obstacle! We have to learn to let God be God. The facts, as we see them, do not change God. We have to learn not to look at facts, but to look to Jesus. He is the Fact-Changer!' The Bible contains every answer, but we need to learn to apply biblical principles to the wounds and problems being experienced by the hurting today. Doty married a minister in 1997 who shares her burden for the hurting. They often minister together as a team and do marital counseling.
