Purpose: These cards make for an excellent supplement to the book, Current Diagnosis and Treatment: Pediatrics, 21st edition, Hay et al. (McGraw-Hill, 2012). The flashcards present key pediatric topics in a simple yet efficient format that allows for portable, self-directed testing.
Audience: These are wonderful learning tools for medical students and pediatric residents. They also can prove helpful to physicians who want to refresh their knowledge in specific areas.
Features: Overall, the cards address 200 key pediatric topics though clinical vignettes and questions. The vignettes and questions on one side of the study flashcards allow readers to test their knowledge of common pediatric conditions and concepts frequently addressed on board exams.
