About the Author

Lady Rainmaker was born and raised Rachel D. Johnson in Gary, Indiana. The 11th of 12 children, Rainmaker took after her mom, Edith Johnson who’s also a poetess. Rainmaker wrote her 1st poem at the age of six and has been writing ever since! Although she wanted to be a singer like her father, Argusta Johnson Sr., and most of her sisters, she was fascinated by poetry. She thought it wonderful to be able to shape words creatively and bring new light to the world.
She draws energy from her favorite poets: God, Maya Angelou, Langston Hughes, Helen Steiner Rice, Dr. Seuss, Rachel Carson, Shel Silverstein, Audre Lorde, and Tupac Shakur. She strives everyday to aim higher and think deeper. Along with poetry, Rainmaker has also written musicals, variety shows, short stories, a comic book, music, comedy sketches, and co-written a sitcom with Corey Oliver. She enjoys rapping as a relaxing hobby and writing raps as well. She adores spending time with her granddaughter and son and attending services at Life United Pentecostal Church in Georgia. Her favorite hobbies outside of writing are playing video games on Sony PlayStation devices, watching way too much television, learning Korean, listening to good books, laughing, and enjoying beautiful women.

Loved it! Loved it.... ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! I think it was so good to start off with almost a short story of sorts in chapter 1.
Each poetry piece had its own flow and were very sensual.
I loved them all. The heavy provocative to light and & flirty, to down right rawness of some kept it easy to read one after another.... Hats off to the commander!
